Thank you for your interest in my proofreading services. Here’s a little bit about me …
I have a degree in English Literature and an MA in History. My history studies covered British and Irish local and regional history during the period from 1750 to 1950, and I am particularly interested in women’s history, local history, poverty, and welfare.
I’m also an experienced administrator, with a background in general and human resources admin. So, if you have a business document that needs a final check, please do get in touch.
Since 2017 I have worked as an NHS library assistant. The role is varied and includes cataloguing, carrying out literature searches, and providing general assistance to staff and students.
Unsurprisingly, I love reading! I enjoy reading about Victorian social history, but my absolute favourite is Golden Age detective fiction. I’ve been an Agatha Christie fan since I was at school, and have recently been learning more about her peers in the Detection Club.
I live on the Isle of Wight and when I’m not reading I can be found walking my dog (or other people’s dogs – I’m a Cinnamon Trust volunteer) in the beautiful countryside near my home.
